A week of Summer Fun on the beautiful grounds of Inwoods Small School
Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August 2017
10am – 4pm
Inwoods Summer Workshops have been running for nearly ten years in the wonderful woodland glade of the Inwoods Small School grounds. Being a charity started up by parents interested in human scale education that nurtures children in a conscious way, Inwoods is dependent on generous support and fundraising events. We rely on parents and people in the community who offer their time and skills to the children for this unique week each summer.
The atmosphere is one of enchanted enjoyment, with a gentle structure of welcome circle, activities before and after lunch and plenty of time for play and relaxation. The Workshops utilize the beautiful grounds by taking place in and out of doors with activities including crafts, textiles, woodwork, nature skills, games, dance, art, drama, cooking, circus and much more. The days are arranged by themes so that children can choose ones that most align with their interests. In the enrollment form, you will have an opportunity to tell us your children’s keenest interests. We will also usually group the younger children together to ensure a gentle, lively atmosphere that best suits their natures. The Workshops continue to hold the Inwoods philosophy of guiding the children in self awareness to allow for positive interactions with each other and the world. This, combined with an interesting and enjoyable set of activities, makes for a wonderful week.
Children ages 5-13 are welcome, and let us know if you have any special queries or needs.
We look forward to seeing you in August,
The Inwoods Team
